Today was a really good day!!

Mother's best friend from her school days (Jane) came to visit for a few hours today, allowing me to get out of the house for almost 6 hours, and not feel guilty about being gone so long. So even though I had important business errands I had to take care of, I also got to go see my BFF Mary, who I haven't seen since before Thanksgiving. Had a great visit with her. Miss her much. Thanx bunches MPP!! Luvya :o}

Patience? What's that?

I usually have the patience of Job, just ask anyone who knows me, but today it's not in my vocabulary! On days like these, I'd like to go back to bed and pretend this week skips from yesterday to tomorrow and forget about today.

I need to adopt a sister or brother. Now taking applications . . . .

For the first time in my life, after 50+ years, I am now wishing that I had a sibling to help share in the responsibility, duty, ups and downs, etc., of  being a caregiver to my mother. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I took on this "job," nor did I have any idea how things would change after my father passed away. Lord help me. Amen.
